Dress without cape
Light steel blue double knit ensemble. A. Dress; jewel collar; plain short sleeves; raglan-style yoke at front and back of bodice; insets below each sleeve, extending through waist seam and into straight, fitted skirt; mandarin-style closure at left front yoke seam with four carved wooden buttons, self-fabric loops, and snap at neck; zipper closure in left front inset seam; side seam pockets; fully lined; knee length.
Worn with cape (Object ID #2006.01.14.b) to form two piece ensemble.

Mustard yellow, gray, and white abstract warp print silk taffeta ensemble. A. Cocktail dress; halter neckline; standing collar; sleeveless with cut-back armhole; fitted bodice with bust and waist darts; covered button closure at back neck; back of bodice is cut-out to 2 inches above waistline seam; flared skirt; short length; couture techniques. B. Belt; wide with large bow; 4 hook and eye closures.

A. Red silk taffeta evening gown with silk-screened palmetto frond design; motifs outlined in black beads on bodice; large circles on stem separated by 4 leaves on front skirt; square neckline; short sleeves; empire waistline; A-line skirt has inverted box pleat at center front, 2 pleats at back; black satin ribbon attached at waistline; center back zipper closure; internal corset; lined in red rayon. C. Black silk evening coat; brown fur cuffs; red silk taffeta lining is made of the dress fabric; no closures; label: "Rosalie Macrini"; mid-calf length.
Goes with stole (Object ID #2003.03.11.b) to form three piece set.
Worn by donor Aileen Ryan. The fabric was designed by Sister Remy Revor based on a historic Milwaukee design. The ensemble was created on designer Rosalie Macrini's receipt of an award from Mount Mary College in the mid-1960s.
This ensemble was the first official donation to Mount Mary's Historic Costume Collection (now the Fashion Archive). -

The donor, Lois Perlewitz, constructed this dress in Sister Aloyse Hessburg's Couture class. -
Dress
Gray wool flannel dress; jewel neckline; sleeveless; seam going down center front, forms into box pleat; 2 princess seams that come down into waist and form box pleats, one princess seam starts at shoulder and other starts at middle of front armhole; 3 horizontal seams; one goes through center front seam and is located right under bust, extending from center seam to first princess seams on each side; other horizontal seams are side seams that extend .5 inch from armpits and go to first princess seam closest to side of garment; center back zipper closure that forms into box pleat; 2 back princess seams on either side of zipper, these also form box pleats; knee length. The donor, Sharon Lipinski, constructed this dress in Sister Aloyse Hessburg's Couture class. -

Gold ring hat; small, flat green grosgrain bow at center front. Worn with dress (Object ID #1967.01). Worn by donor, Mrs. Frances Howard Robb, at the wedding of her son Charles Spittal Robb to Lynda Bird Johnson, the daughter of President Lyndon B. Johnson and Lady Bird Johnson, at the White House, December 9, 1967. Designed by Sister Aloyse Hessburg. -
