Skirt without tunic
B. Multicolored large-scale plaid cotton skirt; dirndl style; three contrasting trims; first, a white, gray, and magenta dot print forming diamonds that runs horizontally around the hip, knee, and 1.5 inches above the hem; second, a faded pastel floral print running horizontally below the knee; third, purple, blue, turquoise, and gray woven twill running along hem; elastic at waistline; welt pockets along side seams; mid-calf length.
Worn with tunic (Object ID #2014.09.03.a) to form two piece ensemble.

Detail of tunic slits and skirt pockets
A. Gray wool tweed tunic; fabric is woven with thin black warp and thicker brown weft with small, randomized flecks of red, green, blue, and yellow; contrast fabric is colorful large-scale plaid woven cotton; rounded bertha style collar in contrast fabric with six lines of smocking; long raglan sleeves; flared cuffs with three black spherical button closures; this same button closure is on the back collar as well as a center back zipper closure; 24.5 inch slit down side seams; colorful plaid contrast fabric runs along hem, side seams, armscyes and cuffs in .5 inch wide strips; mid-calf length; label: "KOOS Koos Van Den Akker, New York". B. Evening gown
Grayish tan silk crepe evening gown; halter top; cowl neckline; high waistline in front; straight skirt to ankle; two 1 inch covered buttons at back neck; mid-back section is cutout to waist; two 1 inch covered buttons at waist above zipper closure; lined in self fabric.
Worn by donor, Joan Urdan. -
Dress without jacket
A. Gray and lavender jersey dress; bodice is lavender, skirt is gray; lavender decorative pattern; center back zipper closure; two front pleats; attached lavender belt stitched onto dress top; lavender lining.
Worn with jacket (Object ID #2005.12.02.b) to form two piece ensemble.
Ensemble was designed for Charlotte Moore when she performed in "Holiday" on Broadway (she was nominated for the Tony award in 1974). -

Gray and lavender jersey dress; bodice is lavender, skirt is gray; lavender decorative pattern; center back zipper closure; two front pleats; attached lavender belt stitched onto dress top; lavender lining. B. Gray and lavender jersey jacket; long sleeves; no closures; jacket is mainly gray with lavender decorative pattern.

Pale gray silk satin and wool jersey hostess gown; roll collar; bodice and long sleeves of heathered wool jersey; rolled back satin cuffs; floor length silk satin skirt gathered at natural waist; center back zipper closure; belt loops at side seams, but belt is missing.
